Marlborough has chosen an aggregation supplier for the city.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Beginning with electricity meter reads in May 2018, the new supplier for the the city’s Municipal Aggregation Program will be Public Power. The residential rate will be $0.10159 per kilowatt hour, which will achieve a savings compared to National Grid’s basic service rate for this time period: $0.10870. This rate will be effective for six months and is lower than the rate for the previous 6 months, said the city’s announcement.

Also, beginning in May, residents interested in purchasing their electricity supply from a source with higher renewable energy may do so by opting in to an Optional Green program by contacting Public Power (800) 830-2944. This option provides 100 percent renewable energy. The Green Rate is still below National Grid’s basic service and costs $0.10226 per kilowatt hour.
